The Mortgage Industry Association of Australia (MIAA) is the peak body for Australia's residential and commercial mortgage industry. Established in 1982, the MIAA works closely with the financial services sector, the Federal Government and all State Governments to set the direction and standard for Australia's mortgage industry.
The MIAA seeks to raise the industry profile, foster high standards, and ethical growth and development of the industry. Dealing with industry issues on behalf of its members, the MIAA provide a united voice where and when required. The MIAA is also a backstop for borrower concerns, providing an ombudsman scheme to facilitate resolution of disputes.
All members are bound by a strict code of ethics to ensure the highest levels of service, integrity and professionalism.

The Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ) is the State's peak professional association for the real estate industry and exists to support member real estate agents with information, products and resources that complement their business practices, which in turn ensures professional service for the public.
